Benito Mussolini was humiliated and humiliated after his death

On April 28, 1945, Benito Mussolini, “Il Duce”, was arrested. They unceremoniously executed him when he tried to flee to Switzerland with his partner and lover. Although his body was publicly mocked after his death, as was the case with other fascist leaders and Claretta Petacci, his young mistress.

The execution of Benito Mussolini

76 years ago a group of communist partisans arrested the dictator and his partner Claretta Petacci in Giulino di Mezzegra. It’s a small town near Lake Como. It is located in northern Italy, near the border between this country and Switzerland.

As I said then, the Duce was dead before he died. The order of the immediate execution was not the decision of his kidnappers, but came from Rome itself. Sandro Pertini, who later became President of Italy, was one of the people responsible for this decision. After the execution, the Duce and his lover were hung by their legs with their heads bowed from the rafters of a gas station.

Execution of Benito Mussolini
Before Mussolini and his lover were executed, they tried to escape with the help of an envoy from Hitler. But they got caught. After the shot, the bodies were hung up and displayed in a square in Milan (The Grosby Group).

It was near Piazza del Loreto in Milan that a crowd gathered to take revenge on the most powerful man in the country since 1922. The bodies of the former fascist leader, his lover and other followers were shot, stoned and even desecrated by the angry crowd as a result of the suffering they suffered during the war.

Know a little about its history

Benito Amicare Andrea Mussolini was born on July 29, 1883 in Predappio. In 1914 he was expelled from the Italian Socialist Party and founded the National Fascist Party. This group brought him to power as the fascist Republican Party. In 1922 he marched to Rome with a group of his followers in black shirts, hence the name that took on his political identity.

As a supporter of the rise of National Socialism in Germany, he took power from 1922 to 1943 to exercise an iron dictatorship. His government was authoritarian, repressive and violent, while so-called Italian fascism persisted. He made hateful speeches, overreacting with expressions and gestures. His skill made Italy the empire it once was (the Roman). Although he was publicly ridiculed after his death, they initially cheered him on. He was admired and celebrated by the masses, just like Hitler.

He insolently identified himself as the representative of yesterday’s Caesars to lead Italy to the top of the world. In 1939 he sealed the fate of Italy and linked it to Germany through the Steel Pact. It led Italy into a bloodbath with an internal civil war that plunged the country into starvation and despair.

Hitler himself is responsible for organizing his rescue

In 1943 King Vittorio Emanuele, who until that moment had unconditionally supported him in everything, dictated his arrest. They captured him and locked him in a hotel in Rome until Hitler was responsible for organizing his rescue.

In the last few days he tried to found the Republic of Saló and to contact the allies against the growing communism. But fascism was too expensive for Italians. It took Italy twenty years of suffering, five years of cruel war, hunger and 400,000 deaths

Along with the fascist leader and his lover, they also arrested Marcello Petacci, Claretta’s brother, and the fascists Alessandro Pavolini and Nicola Bombacci. They shot them all and they too were publicly ridiculed after their deaths.
